How do I get a massage therapy license in Texas?

I am currently starting my last year of Highschool, and I wish to study massage therapy, all though I do not know much about it, whether it is a college class, or a trade school. What do you require to go to a massage therapy school? How long do you usually go to school for it? And how much does it cost? Also, can you go to massage therapy school at the age of 17 if you have allready graduated? I have a summer birthday(August 26) So I wouldn’t want to wait so long to start studying. Any information would help me a lot thank you. ^^

It is a trade school primarily. You have to be 18 and have a high school diploma. I recommend that you go to Canada and find a 3-4 year training program in massage at your age because massage schools aren’t really set up to teach younger people. The average age for massage therapists is 45 meaning that it is usually a second or third career.
It will cost between $12-$30,000 depending on the program you pick.

Most massage therapists start their own business. You are better off going to college for business and marketing and hiring other massage therapists to work for you.
